Role Overview
The Manager – IR & HR will be responsible for managing Industrial Relations and Human Resources functions at the manufacturing plant. The role involves handling union relations, statutory compliance, employee relations, and coordination with labor authorities while supporting overall plant HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations (IR):

Manage union relationships, negotiations, and settlements
-
Handle disciplinary matters and grievance redressal
-
Ensure smooth management of contract labor
-
Maintain cordial employee–management relations
Human Resources (HR):
-
Oversee end-to-end HR operations at the plant
-
Ensure compliance with all statutory and labor laws
-
Manage attendance, leave, payroll coordination, and HR documentation
-
Support manpower planning and workforce engagement initiatives
Statutory & Compliance:
-
Ensure compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESI, etc.)
-
Liaise with labor authorities and government departments
-
Handle audits, inspections, and statutory filings
Plant HR Support:
-
Support plant leadership in HR and IR matters
-
Drive employee engagement and welfare initiatives
-
Assist in policy implementation and HR best practices
Candidate Profile
-
Strong experience in Industrial Relations & HR within a manufacturing setup
-
In-depth knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliance
-
Hands-on experience working with unions and contract labor
-
Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
